Do you need an app?
Not every business needs an app — sometimes a good website is enough. An app is the right choice when you need:
- ✓Customers who come back often (bookings, loyalty points, repeat orders)
- ✓Push notifications to customers' or staff members' phones
- ✓Camera, location, QR scanning, or working without a connection
- ✓A tool for field staff: deliveries, stock checks, attendance, surveys
In our first conversation, we'll tell you straight if your problem is better solved with a website instead of an app.
One codebase, two platforms
DankTech builds apps with React Native — one codebase that runs on both iOS and Android, with an interface and performance close to apps written separately for each platform.
| Separate iOS + Android | React Native | |
|---|---|---|
| Codebases | 2 | 1 |
| Development cost | Nearly double | Significantly lower |
| Adding a new feature | Built twice | Built once |
| User experience | Good | Good |
For parts that need device-specific features, we still write native code when necessary.
What a complete app needs
- ✓Sign-in with phone number, email, Google or Apple
- ✓Push notifications targeted to user groups
- ✓Payments in-app or through Vietnamese payment gateways
- ✓Works on weak connections, syncing automatically when back online
- ✓A web admin panel to manage users, content and orders
- ✓Crash tracking and usage analytics after release
Process
1. Define the core features
The first version should be small and do a few important things really well. We help you choose them.
2. Interface design
Designed around iOS and Android user habits; you try the prototype on your own phone.
3. Development and testing
After each iteration you get a test build via TestFlight (iOS) and an Android install to use on real devices.
4. Release
We prepare screenshots, descriptions and the privacy policy, and handle the entire App Store and Google Play submission process — including any requested changes.
5. Updates after release
Operating systems update every year, and apps need to keep up. We monitor errors, upgrade and ship new versions.
What you get
- ✓The app on the App Store and Google Play, published under your own developer accounts
- ✓Full source code for the app and the server-side system
- ✓A web admin panel
- ✓Documentation and an operations guide
